There are three user types on the EthicalJobs.com.au Employer Portal:

  1. Owner
  2. Full Access
  3. Specific Job Access

(For more information on these user types, please refer to: What are the different user types and what permissions do they have?)

If you're the account Owner or a Full access user of your EthicalJobs.com.au account, you can invite new users to join your account. This can be done from either 1) the “Manage users” page; or 2) directly from a job ad.

(Note that while account Owners can invite Full access users and Specific job access, Full access users can only invite Specific job access users.)

Inviting a new user from the “Manage users" page

  1. Log in to your account and click on "Manage users" from the dropdown menu in the top right corner of your browser. You’ll be taken to the Users page, where you can see all current users and what permission level each user has:
  2. To invite someone new, click the "Invite a new user" button at the top right of the page.
  3. Enter the person’s first name and email address, then choose their permission level:
    • Full Access; or
    • Specific Job Access.
  4. Click "Send Now" and an email will immediately be sent to the email address you entered.

Inviting a new user directly from a job ad

You can also invite a user directly from a job ad page.

Note that if you invite a Specific job access user directly from a job ad, you will be automatically grant that user access to the applicants for that job (but no others). Their access can be removed at any time.

To invite a user from a job ad page:

  1. Navigate to a particular job ad and open the User Access tab for the job.
  2. Click on the “Invite a new user” button at the bottom of the User Access tab.
  3. Enter the person’s first name and email address, then choose their permission level:
    • Full Access; or
    • Specific Job Access
  4. Click "Send Now" and an email will immediately be sent to the email address you entered.

 

What happens once you’ve sent an invitation? 

Once you click "Send Now", the user will receive an email inviting them to access your account, and their name will appear in the list on the Users page, with the status "Invited".

The person will need to accept the invitation by clicking on the link in the email and entering their details. They will not be able to access the account until they have accepted the invitation.

Resending an invitation if it has expired

An invitation is only valid for 7 days - for security reasons, after that it will no longer work.

However, you can re-invite a user whose invitation has expired by clicking on the resend invite link in the Actions column. This will resend the invitation email to the user.
