What is ‘featuring’, and should I ‘feature’ my job ad?

Last updated on 21 Aug, 2025

When you create a job ad, you can choose to ‘feature’ it in the search results.

This means that whenever your ad matches a search, it will appear at the very top of the list of search results that the jobseeker sees (alongside other ‘featured’ ads):

The key reason that you’d want to feature your job ad is to display it to more jobseekers on the site.

Because featured ads appear at the top of any matching search, on average featured jobs get 130% more views and 68% more applications than regular job ads (as of August 2025).

So if you want more people to see and apply for your job, you should consider featuring it.

Featuring a job ad takes one extra Job Ad Credit from your account for each location the job is posted in. So if you want to feature a job ad that has one location, that will cost one additional Job Ad Credit. If the job has two locations, featuring the job ad will cost you two additional Job Ad Credits

If you don't have enough Job Ad Credits in your account to feature your job ad, you'll be able to purchase extra credits at the bottom of the Create a Job Ad page.

To feature your job ad, create a new job ad (or repost an old ad) and scroll to the bottom of the page. You’ll see the last element on the page is Feature this ad (Optional) – just tick the box that says “Yes feature my job ad!” and submit the job ad, and it will be featured.
